Chapter Nine
Entwined hearts IIAeri awoke with a jolt from the sound of her phone alarm ringing. Rubbing her weary eyes, she took a second to realise where she was.
Lying on the couch. Arms wrapped around her. Kai's breath near her face. Eyes widening, Aeri was paralysed for a second, unable to comprehend the situation she was in. The proximity between the two sent her heart beating crazy, never had she been this close to another.
As Aeri tried to wriggle away, Kai stirred and wrapped his arms around her even tighter, unconsciously nuzzling his nose into her neck, sending shivers down her spine.

He only shrugged and remained in the same position, not willing to move away to allow her to cook.
"Yah, if you want breakfast then let me go, Kai," she warned as she nudged him with her elbow, finally retaining her placid composure.
Although it brought a sharp pain to his abdomen, Kai still had a smile on his face. A happy, fulfilled smile.
